Install AgentTrail Guard

Needs Node.js 20 or later. No account and no sign-up: it runs on your machine.

    Install the CLI

    Once, globally, so its commands are on your PATH.

    bash
    $npm i -g @agenttrail/guard

    Set it up for your agent

    Each agent is a separate install, and you can have all three.

    Claude Code$ agenttrail-guard init --agent claude
    Cursor$ agenttrail-guard init --agent cursor
    Codex CLI$ agenttrail-guard init --agent codex

    For Codex CLI, also start Codex, type /hooks and approve each agenttrail-guard entry. Until you do, nothing is checked.

    Check it's on

    Shows what is enforcing in each app, and what it has been doing.

    $ agenttrail-guard status
